For Community
Individual acts of hate are shocking. To see a swastika, hear a racial slur, or experience physical violence is scary – and we want to believe that they’re isolated incidents. Unfortunately, these are the inevitable results of politicians, institutions, and groups who use fear to stoke mistrust between us and our neighbors.
But, we know better.
Racism, antisemitism, & xenophobia are unacceptable - and we know they’re not reflective of the vast majority of us. In Montana, we’re good neighbors. It’s the length of our tables, not the heights of our fences, that define us. There's plenty of room under our big sky for everyone, no matter where they come from, how they live, or who they love. Below you’ll find resources to help you respond when you see acts of hate in your community. If you have questions or would like to speak to one of our staff members directly about a hate incident, please reach out to research@catalystmt.org.

Protecting Pride
Queer and trans communities are on the frontlines of anti-democracy attacks right now. If our institutions and elected leaders collectively support their rights — and right to exist — a greater foundation will be built to defend democracy in the future.
