While pursuing my bachelors in social work, I realized the importance of having advocates in the legislative space to help create more equitable, accessible, and holistic social safety net programs. Through my practicum at Catalyst Montana, I've gained a better understanding of government processes and continue to find more spaces for social workers to be effective advocates for change.
